Want To Win a Copy of BEAUTY QUEENS?

YA rockstar Libba Bray has a new book called Beauty Queens. You know you want it.

Want To Win a Copy of BEAUTY QUEENS?

Of COURSE you do. Trust me, you do. I read Beauty Queens last week (my so-glowing-it's-radioactive review will be up on Friday!) and OH MY GOD, YOU WANT TO READ IT. It's like Feminism 101 with enough laugh-out-loud hilarity to make your ab muscles hurt. I loved it so much that I made a tit of myself in front of Libba herself last week in NYC (then proceeded to argue with her awesome husband about whether Tyra's book was the greatest book of all time or the GREATEST book of all time. I should not be let out in public, honestly).

Anyway. My point, I have one. You want to read Beauty Queens! And now you get a chance to read it for free!

As you may now know from our Meg Cabot post from a few weeks ago, Scholastic has a new online community called This Is Teen, which aims to connect YA authors like Libba and Meg with their fans! We tried to convince Scholastic to name this community This Is Teen And Also Drunk Adults Who Still Think They're Teens, but I guess that was too long to fit on the business cards.

This is Teen is hosting a giveaway and a contest in honor of Beauty Queens' release. After learning a bit more about Beauty Queens, read on to learn how you can win a copy of the book OR win a Sephora shopping spree, a tiara and a signed copy of the book!

The fifty contestants in the Miss Teen Dream Pageant thought this was going to be a fun trip to the beach, where they could parade in their state-appropriate costumes and complete in front of the cameras. But sadly, their airplane had another idea, crashing on a desert island and leaving the survivors stranded with little food, little water, and practically no eye liner.

What's a beauty queen to do? Continue to practice for the talent portion of the program -- or wrestle snakes to the ground? Get a perfect tan -- or learn to run wild? And what should happen when the sexy pirates show up?

Welcome to the heart of non-exfoliated darkness. Your tour guide? None other than Libba Bray, the hilarious, sensational, Printz Award-winning author of A Great and Terrible Beauty and Going Bovine. The result is a novel that will make you laugh, make you think, and make you never see beauty the same way again.
