Henri and I only agree on three things in life: brunch should never be before noon; in a battle between a Kanye show and an R Kelly show the winner is whoever gets to go to both; and our friends are pretty awesome. We pretty much argue about everything else, hence:

After the first movie info was announced, we really started to wonder about whether The Hunger Games movie would stack up to the books.
We wrote letters to Director Gary Ross to sway him to our side. The announcement of Jennifer Lawrence's casting had us feeling mostly hopeful, even though we really were rooting for Hailee Steinfeld. And then we learned about Peeta and Gale, and were super sad. But then! Our precious Rue! Yay! We were happy again!
But then we read an early draft of the script, and we kind of really hated it. We posted our general reaction to the script, which came to the attention of a lovely lady named Liat Cohen at Lionsgate, who then threatened us with lawsuits and mean language. Our opinion of the people at Lionsgate became somewhat soured.
But! We rebounded to analyze the trailers:

And then Posh saw the movie early and posted about it! And, color us shocked, THE MOVIE IS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD! Hooray!
