You guys!! You guys you guys you guys!! It's finally here! The day many of us have been equally longing for and sort of dreading has finally arrived! IT'S HUNGER GAMES DAY!!
In order to fully pump you up, we've compiled a list of our favorite Hunger Games-related posts. If you haven't been around here for a while or if you're just dying to read more Hunger Games stuff because it's so long until midnight, read on!
The Actual Reviews of the Books:
Before Mockingjay came out, we had a lot of fun predicting what it would be about. Hence:

But then Mockingjay was released, and we were all . . . kinda bummed?
Henri and I read Mockingjay in tandem and argued over what we liked and what we didn't:

Henri and I only agree on three things in life: brunch should never be before noon; in a battle between a Kanye show and an R Kelly show the winner is whoever gets to go to both; and our friends are pretty awesome. We pretty much argue about everything else, hence:
You know, one thing that's really missing from The Hunger Games franchise is awesome official merchandise. Therefore, we make our own:
After the first movie info was announced, we really started to wonder about whether The Hunger Games movie would stack up to the books.
We wrote letters to Director Gary Ross to sway him to our side. The announcement of Jennifer Lawrence's casting had us feeling mostly hopeful, even though we really were rooting for Hailee Steinfeld. And then we learned about Peeta and Gale, and were super sad. But then! Our precious Rue! Yay! We were happy again!
But then we read an early draft of the script, and we kind of really hated it. We posted our general reaction to the script, which came to the attention of a lovely lady named Liat Cohen at Lionsgate, who then threatened us with lawsuits and mean language. Our opinion of the people at Lionsgate became somewhat soured.
But! We rebounded to analyze the trailers:
And then Posh saw the movie early and posted about it! And, color us shocked, THE MOVIE IS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD! Hooray!
