Prom night at Toronto Secondary School was truly a night to remember for Scarlett and her friends. The dance was held at the CN Tower, with a full banquet in the revolving restaurant AND the opportunity to do the EdgeWalk — teeter (fully safety harnessed) on the outside edge of the tower, seemingly billions of miles above the city. The student council worked for months to raise the money, and Scarlett swears she’ll never get her fingers un-pruney from all the bikini car wash fundraisers. On the big night, she went with her boyfriend Malachi. Scarlett told her parents she’d be staying with her best friends, but Malachi’d booked a hotel room so they didn’t have to lose their virginities in the back seat of his dad’s Nissan Sentra. It was going to be so romantic, but why doesn’t Scarlett remember anything? How did she get all the way on the outskirts of Toronto, with her clothes back at the top of the CN Tower? Will the flimsy wings she constructed out of plastic bags fished from the St. Lawrence River carry her above the city and back into the tower to rescue her clothes, or will she plunge into the river’s icy depths and be lost forever? Worst of all, will she find her $10,000 plum satin Dior evening gown when she reaches the tower, or has it been stolen by her ex-BFF?
