Number of Times Mom Would Have TOTALLY Made Me Stop Watching: 0
Hey! It’s Monday! I hope all of you moms got breakfast in bed yesterday, and that that, perhaps, made today a little easier. I’m regretting those extra couple beers AFTER Game of Thrones, because nothing says “I’m celebrating Mother’s Day” like getting drunk on your patio.
Anyway, I was thinking that the Gameshow Network needs to start a new show called Game of Thrones, in which people have to play musical chairs on a bunch of thrones! And the winner gets some kind of trip or a car or set of luggage or something! That would be a game show I’d want to get on, because I love me some musical chairs.
What Happened
Theon is PO’d that Tonks got away with Bran and Rickon, so he sends out the hounds to search for them. Sansa gets her period and some strangely motherly advice from Cersei. Arya continues to kind of bond with Tywin, but is too smart for her own good, and he knows she’s more than she’s telling. Our Robb continues to flirt with the lady medic and rides off to negotiate a surrender. While he’s gone, Jaime Lannister kills his own cousin to escape, but is caught again. He taunts Catelyn with Ned’s infidelity, and she draws a sword on him. In Qarth, Daenerys refuses the rich man’s help in finding her dragons, and then finds out that he arranged for them to be taken in the first place. Along with those creepy men from the tower. Theon burns two child-sized bodies, telling everyone that they were Bran and Rickon, but we’re all pretty sure that: 1) Theon couldn’t actually find them, and 2) even he isn’t that much of a twat.

General Impressions
Whoah, I was so totally embarrassed for Sansa having all of those people know she got her period. AWKward! I hope this doesn’t mean she has to marry Joffrey now, because that would be SO GROSS. I was worried that Arya had said too much, even though it seems like Tywin really likes her. I wish they could both just put aside revenge and be friends. And UGH!!! That Theon Greyjoy is still acting like such a brat! What is wrong with him?!!! I probably should be worried about Jon Snow, since Ygritte led him into a trap, but I think the Wildlings are going to end up liking him, and teaching him their ways, so I don’t feel too worried. But HOW CREEPY is that guy/those guys from the tower?!!! When they slit all of the merchant’s throats I FREAKED OUT. I don’t know what Daenerys is going to do now.
Number of Times Mom Would Have TOTALLY Made Me Stop Watching: I don’t *think* Mom would have had TOO many issues with this episode. I know she wouldn’t have liked the way Ygritte was trying to tempt Jon Snow to break his vows of celibacy, though. That is what she calls “wanton” behavior.

General Impressions
This episode belonged to the Lannisters. From Tywin’s increasingly touching chats with Arya to Cersei’s depth when she talks about loving her children to Jaime’s interactions with both his cousin and Catelyn, they were showing sides of themselves that make it hard to hate them. I’m really worried about Our Robb, however. Because he’s actually a great king, and has been doing too well, and is just so GOOD, I’m afraid he’s going to be killed. Now, for those of you who’ve read the books, this still has to stay spoiler free, so neither confirm or deny my suspicions, I’m just saying. Arya continues to KILL IT, and I loved the interaction between Sansa and Sandor when she tries to thank him for saving her from being raped. I have been the least interested in what’s going on in Qarth, but I have a feeling that’s just changed.
Best Scene
I think it has to go to Jaime’s escape. The way he gets his cousin to open up to him, and then share what seems to be a great moment before brutally killing him was so well played. It’s nice to see Tyrion sharing the “awesome” spotlight with his siblings.
