Procrastination Pro-Tips: Hobbits, Moon Prism Power and More

Guys!  I don’t really have time to come up with some sort of witty intro, because I need to get myself packin’ right now.  Because I have an FYA sleepover to go to!  And if there’s anything better than a sleepover, it’s one that happens on a school week night because you don’t have work on Friday.  YAY!  That said, let’s get to the links!

The lady who brought you Texts from Scarlett O’Hara is back...this time with Texts from Jane Eyre.  And yes, the answer is always your attic wife.

For those of us excited for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (and really, that should be all of us), some great photos have come out recently.  There are the photos released by Entertainment Weekly and this beautiful scroll poster.  Seriously, check out that poster.  Biggify it right now.

Now in the category of things that have the potential to be both amazing and devastating, Sailor Moon is getting a remake, set to debut summer 2013.  The 11 year old in me is FREAKING HER SHIT OUT.  The 27 year old is me is also freaking, but a little less obnoxiously.  So who else out there is excited?  Also, who’s your favorite Sailor Scout (mine’s Jupiter, obvs).

Do you ever sit around, asking yourself what The Golden Girls would be like if it starred aged superheroes?  Well, me neither, but someone did and I thank them for that, and this video.

And in case you hadn’t heard, both parts of the split Mockingjay movie have release dates.  The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will release worldwide November 21, 2014, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 on November 20th, 2015.  So, if you still own a calendar, mark ‘em!

And because this is shaping up to be a bit of a slow news week for me, I am going to share with you a very good way to spend the money that you don’t have.  I am a big, huge fan of Megan Lara, who is an awesome artist that specializes in really great pieces from your favorite pop culture fandoms.  And most everything she makes can be purchased as a t-shirt or print.  So if you love TV (think Firefly, Community, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica), movies (Labyrinth, Goonies), books (Dark Tower, Game of Thrones), comics or video games, then check out her work.  Your wallet will not be safe.  You have been warned.

And as always, please share any fun/interesting/insightful links with us in the comments!
