The (totally made up) story of one girl's struggle to get her sport into the Olympic Games.

Happy Monday, everybody!  Why so happy, you ask?  Because I have today off?  No!  And don't roll your eyes at me, young lady.  I'm happy because the REASON I have today off because I'm in the middle of packing to move into an awesome place across town! Yay!  More space!  But, of course, I'm sitting in a pile of rubbish that once resembled my belongings, covered in a mixtrure of spackle and paint, wondering if 9am is too early to have a "packing" beer, so instead of the work I *should* be doing, I'm judging a book by its cover for our Cover Story series!  This week's victim edition: For Darkness Show the Stars, by Diana Peterfreund.  A Cover Story, by Jenny.

Olivia Evans was on course to be one of the country's brightest ballroom dancing stars, before that terrible day at the Atlantic Grand Prix when her partner dropped her, shattering her knee and her career in one slip of the fingers.  But nothing's gonna keep this baby in a corner, because while she agonizes through day after day of water rehab, Olivia gets an idea: Under Water Couples' Freestyle.  She can't believe her genius!  She'll marry the beauty of ballroom (or ice) dancing with the low-impact cushion of being in the water!  It took a while to convince her old partner, Cody, to train with her, but a few well-placed guilt trips finally did the trick, and before she could say 'dancing queen', Olivia was twirling and shimmying in a new gown in the water, sparkly blue eye-shadow firmly in place.

But what happens when the Olympic committee doesn't want to include this new sport in the summer games?  Will Olivia give up completely, or will she find a way -- some way -- to show the world how much she can shine...
