Procrastination Pro-Tips: Degrassi, The Doctor and More

Happy Friday, ya’ll!  If you’re like me, then your brain is probably thinking OLYMPICS, OLYMPICS, OLYMPICS.  In fact, my brain has been thinking that all week.  Which might account for how yesterday I realized I had ZERO links to provide you for this post.  Apparently all my time on the internet has been spent reading ALL the Olympics related things.  And nothing else.  Oops.  Anyway, I’ve done some scrounging for you (whilst watching the Olympics OF COURSE) so here you go!

Book Related Things

J.K. Rowling has started a Harry Potter Reading Club for kids.  For KIDS.  How is that fair?!  Could I pass for a kid?  Kid with gigantism, maybe?

Textbooks...the worst?  Or the WORST?

Book labyrinth.  Nuff said.

TV Related Things

Hey Doctor Who fans, are you freaking out over this Season 7 trailer that just came out?  I bet you are.  Me?  I’m feeling guilty and remembering that I never did get around to watching the last Christmas special.  Oops.

If you want to dissect it to death, io9 has got you covered!

If you at all watched any of Degrassi: The Next Generation, Vulture has put together the best list, ever.  I actually remembered everything up through Fake engagements that turn into real engagements.  Memories!

Movie Related Things

In news that is both beautiful and terrible, you have heard that The Hobbit is going to be turned into three movies, right?  Well, it IS.  And since there isn’t enough story to cover a third movie, io9 has some theories about what it might be about.

If you’re looking for something good to watch this weekend, Sight & Sound (the magazine for the British Film Institute) has re-released their list of the 50 greatest films of all time.  Or, you can just watch your old favorites.

Still lusting to have a pen pal of your very own?  Well it might not be as good as an FYA pen pal, but The Hairpin will find you a pal.  So give it a go!

You know you want to watch a video of a very cute goat being a total dick.
