Hooray! It's Monday! Aren't you excited? It's actually Sunday night for me, and I can't even express the amount of energy it took for me to conjure up that little bit of written enthusiasm -- don't ask for more. All I want to know is: Is it naptime yet? Since the answer is probably, "Nope," the only thing I have to offer is a little bit of lighthearted teasing in the form of a completely made up plot to go along with this book cover. As usual for cover story, I actually have no idea what the real plot of Fearless by Brigid Kemmerer is; we're all about snap judgements here in cover story land!

Dante Michel has always known he was destined for glory, even if the people in his podunk South Louisiana hometown couldn't see it. But Dante Michel -- NEVER just "Dante," thankyouverymuch -- is about to get his big chance. Casting scouts from America's Next Supermodel Designer Showdown are coming to New Orleans, and so is Dante Michel. He knows white skinny jeans after Labor Day are a risk, but with an ensemble blending state pride (fleur-de-lis belt buckle), futuristic workingman simplicity, and a daring 70s throwback hairstyle, Dante Michel feels unstoppable. Unfortunately, his competition is determined to make sure he IS stopped, and they'll try anything -- even a poisoned smoke machine -- to bring Dante Michel and his white skinny jeans down. Is he truly as fearless as he wants everyone to believe? Will he make it onto ANSDS -- and beyond? Will he fulfill his self-appointed destiny as the next Alexander McQueen?? We'll find out during the daring shoe segment of the competition!
