Is Sam Claflin Hot Enough To Play Finnick?

Spoiler: NO HE IS NOT.

Is Sam Claflin Hot Enough To Play Finnick?

Well, tributes, it's official. Sam Claflin has been cast as Finnick in Catching Fire.

AND I'M NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT.

But I'm also not surprised. We've been hearing rumors about this for a while now, and we all know how much the filmmakers like to take male characters that are AWESOME and ATTRACTIVE in the book and make them NOT AWESOME and NOT ATTRACTIVE in the movie. (With the exception of Cinna, of course.)

I mean, sure, Sam Claflin is good looking. He defintely fits in my "I Wouldn't Say No" category. But is he Finnick Levels of Hot? HELL TO THE NAH.

To prove it, I offer up a highly scientific argument based on TRUE FACTS:

1. He doesn't look like this:

2. He looks like this:

Look, Finnick is a smokin' hot piece of swimmer man meat, not a poet in a coffee shop.

3. Seriously, does anyone think this guy would survive more than a day in the Arena?

WHAT IS UP WITH THE MAN SCARVES, SAMUEL?

To conclude my argument: WTF.

And now it's your turn, fellow scholars. Feel free to vent your frustration (or prove me wrong!) in the comments.

p.s. The only silver lining is that at least a certain moment in Mockingjay won't be so hard to handle.
