Revenge 2x2: Resurrection

A conversation about this week's Revenge, in lieu of Erin actually doing anything of substance.

Revenge 2x2: Resurrection

Hello!  I'm still very sick, FYAers!!  Too sick to stay awake and competent through even one hour long show. This week I watched Revenge with my fiance, who has never seen the show.  I don't think he was too interested, but he did ask a few questions.  In lieu of recapping the episode, please have this conversation.

The Gentleman Caller: To give me some background, what's this program about?

Me:  First, put your pants on.

TGC:  I'm getting there.

Me: Okay.  So this show is about a ly whose name used to be Amanda Clarke, but now she goes by Emily Thorne.

TGC: She sounds like a risk taker.

Me: Emily Thorne is hunting down some bad people who framed her father for a crime he didn't commit.

TGC: Bastards.  Is this anything to do with the A Team?

Me: No.  Helping Emily is a very nice man named Nolan.

TGC: Has he made any Batman movies?

Me: No

TGC: What crime did they frame her father for?

Me: There was a plane that was brought down by terrorists, and they framed her father for funding the terrorists.

TGC: {vaguely zenophobic comment redacted}

Me: And she's just found out her mother is alive and may be crazy.

Me:  That's Nolan.  He's my boyfriend.

TGC: I'm your boyfriend.

Me: You both are.  He dresses better.

TGC: {Ashley walks in}  That's an awful English accent, luv.

Me: That's Daniel, he's gross.

TGC: He looks creepy.  He looks like a creepy jock.

{weird mysterious British guy is spying on Emily}

TGC: He's forgotten his gun, silly boy.

TGC:  They're watching this on a clam can.  What does that mean?

Me: Nolan made a camera.  In a clam.  It's a clam can.

{re: Declan}

TGC: That dude has really bad hair.  Like he might overbalance forward.

TGC: I think that Nolan is going to turn out to be the bad guy.  Put that on your blog and smoke it.

Me: I hate you.

TGC: So, that's not Amanda Clarke.  But {Jack} thinks she is.

Me: Yes.

TGC: Did he have a lobotomy?

 . . . . And then I got too confused to talk.  So, TRET! had a paternity test and it's not Jack's but TRAC! changed it to say it was? White-haired man threatened Victoria so Victoria and Conrad pretended she'd been kidnapped?  Then Daniel gave Charlotte his inheritence?  Then white-haired man tried to kill TRAC! but Mysterious British Man killed him?  And Nolan might have a new girlfriend?  I'm so confused, frankly.  Let us know what you think!

Erin Callahan's photo About the Author: Erin is loud, foul-mouthed, an unrepentant lover of trashy movies and believes that champagne should be an every day drink. When she isn't drowning in a sea of engineers for whom Dilbert is still uproariously funny, she's writing about books, tv, the cult of VC Andrews and more.
