Guys, this week has been ONE OF THOSE WEEKS. And it was only three days long for me! So let us take comfort in the fact that the internet will ALWAYS PROVIDE FOR US.
Book Related Things
Once upon a time, someone wrote an obnoxious article about “manhood” in YA. (Luckily FYA’s Meghan had some things to say about that!)
Not sure how we missed this but BEST THING ON THE INTERNET. Epic Reads put together a YA map of the United States. Love it! Although I wish my home state had a better book repping it (commenters - what book would you pick for Minnesota?)
OMFG, DID YOU SEE BREAKING DAWN PART 2 AT MIDNIGHT??! In honor of the (hopefully) final film installment of the Twilight series, we have for you the most disturbing Twilight products of all time and a discussion of the wiggiest hair in the series.
And everyone has already pre-ordered their Hobbit tickets, yes? Well, here is the entire soundtrack, available for you to stream. And the best Bag End dollhouse, ever. (But seriously, who has eaten The Hobbit menu at Denny’s yet? I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING.)
This has been a BIG week in the world of YA book film adaptations. First, we had the release of The Host trailer (you can read Erin’s take here). And NOW we have the first trailer for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones as well! Check it out below:
Plus we have casting rumors for the Divergent movie adaptation. WHO WILL PLAY FOUR?!!?!
And in non-YA movie news, Oz The Great and Powerful has a trailer now too! Will it be good? Or will it go the Alice In Wonderland and Snow White and the Huntsman route? Which is to say all looks and no heart.
TV Related Thing
Every episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in limerick form! (Well, just the first three seasons, but it’s a work in progress!)
One of many reasons you should support gay marriage...if you don’t, gay men will marry your girlfriends.
The Magic School Bus...takes a field trip to hell!
I missed this article a few weeks back, but it really sums up my recent Taylor Swift love.
That’s it for this week! Leave your thoughts or “shares” in the comments!
