YA Movie News Roundup: Tidbits Galore

Welcome back to the YA Movie News Roundup, where we have almost no YA movie news for you this week! But we still have lots of fun little tidbits, so don't go anywhere.

In case you missed it! The If I Stay trailer debuted and Posh wrote up a Highly Scientific Analysis of all of the ways she will ugly cry while watching this movie.

And Film School Rejects asked, in light of last week's news that If I Stay's Chloe Moretz is playing Cassie in The Fifth Wave, whether a YA heroine franchise is the right move for Moretz. (Too late!)

Hey, you can take online Hogwarts classes!

The trailer for David Fincher's Gone Girl, based on Gillian Flynn's mystery novel and starring Rosamund Pike and Ben Affleck, has arrived. Read Jennie's review of Gone Girl here!

Holy crap and holy weird, Michelle Obama is dropping by Nashville?!

Also super weird and by the way no one cares, a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel is in the works.

This picture of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan is everything to me. EVERYTHING.

And in YA think pieces:

CNN asks after diversity in YA books and films.

And Flavorwire discusses, considering the Eleanor and Park news of two weeks ago, the resurgence of the realistic young adult movie.

That's it for this week! Give us your thoughts downstairs.
