They Are Among Us

BOOK REPORT for Scan (Scan #1) by Sarah Fine and Walter Jury

Cover Story: Oh, Shi—
BFF Charms: Big Sister
Swoonworthy Scale: 7
Talky Talk: Boys Will Be Boring?
Bonus Factor: Action Movie Antics
Relationship Status: On Your Side-ish

It’s a sad day when a book features awesome characters and lackluster action, at least for someone like me who counts The Expendables and Fast & Furious* franchises among her favorite movies of all time.

Where did Scan fall short? Check out my full review over at our series on Kirkus.

*Except for Tokyo Drift, but that's a given.

Mandy Curtis's photo About the Author: Mandy is a small town girl living in a nerdy world, or—if you want to get literal—an editor/writer living in Austin, TX. In addition to yearning for YA books—the more dystopian or fantastical, the better—she can also be found swooning over superheroes, dreaming of The Doctor and grinning at GIFs.
