YA Onscreen: ALLEGIANT Gets Some (Crap) New Posters And A (Crap) New Trailer

Welcome back to YA Onscreen! Let's hop to.

Allegiant has a new trailer and some new posters, and they are all RIDICULOUS because that is Allegiant's whole thing. Posters below, trailer at the link because Buzzfeed never learned that sharing is caring.

In much higher quality young adult adaptation news, reviews for the final Hunger Games movie are rolling in and they're great! And read a Vogue interview with star Jennifer Lawrence here. AND Suzanne Collins wrote a letter of gratitude to everyone who worked on the Hunger Games movies, probably to thank them for not turning her books into some Allegiant nonsense.

The Fifty Shades of Grey sequels are shooting back-to-back, presumably so everyone can be done with this thing as soon as possible.

Sorta related: Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is writing a new Hulu show based on Daniel O'Malley's The Rook, and as a big fan of that book, I want you all to know that both Hulu and Stephenie Meyer are TERRIBLY WRONG for it.

Hey hey, a new 5th Wave poster!

Sarah J Maas’s YA fantasy book A Court Of Thorns And Roses has been optioned for adaptation by Tempo Productions. Read the FYA review here.

Maas’s book follows 19-year-old huntress Feyre, who kills a wolf in the woods, only for a beast-like creature to arrive and demand retribution for it.

Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin, one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world. As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it or doom Tamlin and his world forever.

And here's our first look at Bella Thorne as Famous in Love's Paige. I like it!
