The Official November 2016 FYA Calendar

Even though we soon “fall back,” we’re still going to get Out of Darkness.

The Official November 2016 FYA Calendar

Welcome to November, a month made for extra hours of time, stuffing ourselves silly, and reading books near a cozy fire.

This month’s FYA Book Club pick is Ashley Hope Pérez’s Out of Darkness. (Read Jennie’s review of the book here.) As Jennie wrote, “Set against the New London school explosion, still billed as the worst school disaster in U.S. history, it’s a breathtaking Romeo & Juliet-style story where racism stands in for the houses of Montague and Capulet. Pérez writes gorgeously rendered, realistic characters while painting a portrait of bigotry, poverty, and pain.” Not the easiest of reads, but definitely an important one.

For this month’s calendar, we drew on hobbies from and themes of the book. Click the links below the images to download wallpapers for your computer or phone.
