Who’s on their way to the Sweet Sixteen?

Teen BFF Madness: Round Two Results

The Round Two votes have been tallied and the dust has settled, leaving only the Sweet Sixteen contenders. But before we look forward, let’s look at the last week’s results.

The top winners of the week were, again, Harry Potter’s Harry, Hermione and Ron, who beat out Daria’s Daria and Jane with 85.99% of the vote.

The other big winners of the week were Anne of Green Gables’s Anne and Diana, who won with 82.92% over Roswell’s Liz and Maria; Clueless’s Cher and Dionne, who beat The Truth About Forever’s Macy and Kristy with 80.71%; and Gilmore Girls’s Rory and Lane, who garnered 75.25% of the vote over Jellicoe Road’s Tayor and Raffy.

Let’s give these BFFs conciliatory high fives as they exit the tournament:

In the closest race of the week, The Raven Boys (+Blue) narrowly beat the boys who met the world. The Raven Cycle’s Gansey, Ronan, Adam, Noah and Blue got 53.48% of the vote while Boy Meets World’s Cory and Shawn got 46.52%.

Here’s where our bracket stands now:

(1) Gansey/Ronan/Adam/Noah/Blue (The Raven Cycle) vs. (4) Matt/Landry (Friday Night Lights)
(2) Cher/Dionne (Clueless) vs. (3) Rory/Lane (Gilmore Girls)

(1) Harry/Hermione/Ron (Harry Potter) vs. (4) Veronica/Wallace (Veronica Mars)
(2) Anne/Diana (Anne of Green Gables) vs. (3) Ryan/Seth (The O.C.)

(1) Buffy/Willow/Xander (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) vs. (4) Betty/Veronica (Archie/Riverdale)
(3) Bee/Carmen/Lena/Tibby (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) vs. (10) Mia/Lilly (The Princess Diaries)

(8) Ferris/Cameron (Ferris Bueller's Day Off) vs. (5) Angela/Rayann/Rickie (My So-Called Life)
(3) Sam/Neal/Bill (Freaks and Geeks) vs. (2) Maddie/Queenie (Code Name Verity)

Round Two saw a shakeup in the reader leaders: Sparkle Sarah and Elena G. had the highest number of accurate second-round picks. The FYA HQ leaderboard saw some shuffling too, and now stands like so:

1. Posh and Mandy W.
3. Mandy C. and Jennie
5. Alexis and Stephanie
7. Rosemary
8. Amanda R.

How’s your bracket fairing? Any guesses for who’s going to take this whole thing? Head to the comments to discuss!
