Belated Happy International Women's Day, y'all! Since women only get one freaking day, let's keep the celebration going for the whole weekend. (And the month, and the year, and and... ) To the links!

YA Onscreen Things
This week in YA Onscreen: the Oscars, The CW casting, and more.
Archie goes to Bollywood! For a new movie adaptation produced in India, that is.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, Dafne Keen, and director Tom Hooper are all in talks for the BBC miniseries adaptation of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials.
Because The CW has barely existed without at least one vampire show on its slate (like, seriously; The Vampire Diaries debuted in its third year): there's a TVD/The Originals spinoff in the works starring Alaric and Hope.
In honour of International Women's Day, Freeform censored "I'm sorry" every time it was said by a female character. (I appreciate the intention (we ladies shouldn't feel like we have to apologize for just existing!), but shutting women up seems counterproductive.)

Pride & Prejudice... & Otters!
Miss Elizabeth. I have struggled in vain and can bear it no longer. These past months have been a torment. I have fought against judgement, my family’s expectation, inferiority of your birth, my rank. I will put them aside and ask you to end my agony. pic.twitter.com/aTFF8kflx0— Drunk Austen (@Drunk_Austen) March 3, 2018
Don't mess with a bookworm, because we'll troll the shizz out of you.
A man just called me an f*****g b***h for reading my book on a crowded bus. I said "I'm so sorry but i love this book so much I just can't wait to continue reading it. It's very wonderful listen..."— Jennifer Cairns (@JenElleCairns) March 8, 2018
And what did I do?
I read out loud for 2 whole stops until he got off. Yes I did pic.twitter.com/jrK15pdzrl

Days like today can feel painfully exclusionary but I see y’all. You’re a part of this too.
