Y’ALL! I JUST FINISHED DANCE ACADEMY SEASON ONE! And I need to talk about it! Or I might explode like Abigail after Tara beats her at something! So I decided to abuse my FYA power and create a post just so we could all come together and convo and spazz and over-analyze and perv out about Christian. WHO’S WITH ME?
And if you haven’t seen Dance Academy yet, here’s why you need to make it the #1 priority in your life. Ok, well, after eating and drinking and sleeping. Wait, actually, just nix the sleeping part. BALLET IS MORE IMPORTANT.
Ok, so here are the things I would like to discuss.
1. CHRISTIAN’S HOTNESS.
2. Tara is a big stupid idiot for not recognizing CHRISTIAN’S HOTNESS.
3. Ethan isn’t so bad, you guys! I mean, yes, he is not Christian, but I don’t think he’s a huge douche bag. I definitely erred in my previous post by labeling him as the Ben Covington of the show, but he’s an ok dude.
4. HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE SAMMY? SO MUCH, RIGHT? Oh Sammy!!! It is totally cool that you’re gay! And no one can fault you for crushing on Christian. HE IS HOT.
5. Does anyone else think it’s weird that Pop Star Miles, who is ostensibly in his early 20s, is dating Kat, who is only 16? Yes, Kat is totally the raddest chick on the show, but does Australia not have that whole statutory law thing? With that said, I’m glad Miles came back, and I hope he shows up in season two. I always love famous people story lines.
6. I felt like the show didn’t do an effective job at building up Christian’s feelings for Tara. It was like, all of a sudden, he wants to kiss her in the park? I DON’T GET IT. I mean, besides the fact that Tara is lame and doesn’t deserve him, why does he like her? I wanted the show to demonstrate this evolution, but it just… didn’t.
7. On a similar note, it’s weird how Tara is all, “I like Ethan! Wait… no, I like Christian. Wait! Got it! Ok! I like Ethan!… No, definitely Christian.” Not because teenagers aren’t flaky, cos they totally are, but because CHRISTIAN IS SO HOT.
8. How sweet was it when Fran (Miss Rain) actually smiled at Tara from the wings during The Nutcracker?
9. I miss Petra! Does anyone else miss Petra?
10. Any predictions on Season Two (for those of you who haven’t started it yet)?
Ok, I think I hit my major points. Wait, one more.
11. CHRISTIAN IS HOT AND I FEEL KINDA WEIRD ABOUT IT BECAUSE HE’S SO YOUNG BUT HIS HOTNESS OVERPOWERS ALL ETHICAL MISGIVINGS.
