Happy Friday, peeps! I was supposed to go on a trip to California this month but we cancelled it this week, and now I am taking recommendations for ways to cheer myself up by celebrating Halloween at home. Please advise.

I wrote this week’s Stream It post on an oft-forgotten, certainly underrated spooky season classic: Death Becomes Her.

In this week’s book reviews:

This Poison Heart (This Poison Heart #1) by Kalynn Bayron planted itself *bah dum CHING* in Mandy C.’s heart.

Amanda was enchanted by Elayne Audrey Becker’s debut novel Forestborn (Forestborn #1).

Sarah headed out on the seas in her review of Namesake, the sequel to Fable, by Adrienne Young.
