Anna-Marie McLemore infuses Latin culture into all of their books, but here’s something particularly compelling about Wild Beauty, a story about a family with magical green thumbs.
How Moon Fuentez Fell in Love With the Universe features a brilliant and beautiful MC, some hot enemistry, and a little magic sprinkled in for good measure.
Although—as the title implies—They Both Die at the End doesn’t feature a HEA, the book is a lovely look at 24 hours in the lives of two truly likable guys.
While Unearthed is about a young woman who eventually becomes a superhero, this graphic novel is more about Jessica Cruz’s struggles with identity and her DACA status. (And the meddlesome nature of two Aztec gods.)
Stuck in a state-run home, the main character of Lotería takes solace in a set of Lotería cards as she works through painful secrets and trauma.
