I’ve been keeping my own rankings of the episodes through the season, so I’ve been AGONIZING over this list for weeks. Sometimes an episode feels too low, but that’s because the top is so crowded and something has to take the bottom spots. (Although if you’ve followed my recaps, you’ll know where the list goes from the nth most favourite to actually least favourite lol.)

This one’s tough. As my fellow FYA writer Steph said, most of them only just talk lololol. I think this depends on how “Best Monster” is interpreted — like, is it the most formidable, the most memorable, or a secret third option? I’m going with who has the best subplot, so it’s gotta be Medusa.

Thanks for hanging out with me for the past seven weeks! And now we send our burnt offerings to the Disney gods to RENEW THE SHOW ALREADY.
This show made me so happy. As silly as it is, I love that blue food was consistent when Sally was involved. From the candy at the start, to the pancakes at the end. It was always one of my favorite little things from the books.
I know some of the special effects were lacking (like Percy’s sword not being shown as often as it got used), but at the same time… if it’s a budget thing, I’d rather they have the clever camera work and get more seasons than to see it just be too big to continue. I know we all want to see epic, but we had that before and it was a massive failure. I want to see this series greenlit and continued. And then give us Heroes of Olympus and the Trials of Apollo, kthanks.
The kids were awesome. I loved all of them, and in particular, all the actors who portray Percy at different ages. They’re all fantastic.
100% agree, the kids were all wonderful. The LOOK of everything felt right, even if the effects were occasionally lacking / were cleverly worked around so we didn’t need as much CGI (honestly for the most part it was all fine enough for me; that isn’t what I’m here for. The weirdest CGI I can recall is Chiron’s horse parts lolol).
