Hey there, dystopian renegades! Last week, after y’all voted to shoot Sev, you ended up blowing more than just a robot away. In fact, you pulverized the entire school and killed EVERYONE, including yrself. Nice work, guys. Seriously, I think John Connor just rolled over in his grave. Or wait, is he still alive? Like, in the future? That last Terminator movie really confused me. Plus it wasn’t the same without Linda Hamilton’s gun show.

Anyhoo, since this is Choose Your Own Adventure, everyone immediately started begging to flip back a few pages so we could save ourselves. In other words, y’all are a big bunch of cheaters! Fortunately, here at FYA we reward cheating because we believe that overindulgence is the key to happiness, esp. when it comes to YA books and drinking.

We’re giving you guys a second chance to destroy the robots, save humankind and, most importantly, figure out which boy you actually want to get with. Of course, we had to make it a little tricky, so instead of going back to the last set of options, we used our number randomizer (read: my highly scientific whim) and ended up at the end of this chapter. So read it over, and now that you’ve cheated gained more information about the situation and the people around you, use it to make a wise decision. I’ve crossed out the original option y’all voted on, so ruminate over the remaining choices and LET’S SAVE THE HUMAN RACE! Just, no shooty this time, ok? Ok.

Chapter 19: Press “D” for Do-Over

Do you:

A. Separate from the group and head back up into the ceiling. You could use some time away from the mental clussery to clear your head and figure out your next step.

B. Offer yourself up for capture and let the others escape. Maybe they’ll put you in the same cell as Rolex, and the two of you can gather information before breaking out.

C. Go wherever Sev tells you to, because she’s a freaking robot and is programmed to make optimal decisions.

D. Prepare to make a stand against the sentries. You’re tired of running, and the battle is inevitable, so it might as well start now.

Sarah lives in Austin, and believes there is no such thing as a guilty pleasure, which is part of why she started FYA in 2009. Growing up, she thought she was a Mary Anne, but she's finally starting to accept the fact that she's actually a Kristy.
