It is a rough damn week to be a parent in Texas. I cannot imagine what the parents in Uvalde are going through. The news coming out just keeps getting worse and more unbelievable. I couldn’t be happier that today is the last day of school for my second grader.
In happier news, the explanation of romance novels made me LOL and was very reminiscent of FYA Dallas’s book club meeting this week, when we discussed our hobbies that people might make fun of us for. One member mentioned fantasy romance novels and we had a good time guessing what types of fantasy romances she might be into. I, of course, mentioned kpop… which I’m loud and proud about even though I’m sure people roll their eyes.
Speaking of… my husband got into TWICE during the pandemic and has now been to five shows (and I’ve been to one). He recorded tons of footage on his phone and uploaded to YouTube, and some of them are going mildly viral. Now he has YouTube fans who ask cute things like “are u a boy or a girl?” and he just leaves them unanswered instead of saying “I’m a middle-aged dad.”
Hugs to you and your family <3 <3 <3 I was actually thinking what a relief it is that the school year's ending for safety reasons, which is extremely messed up.
On a completely different note: LOLOLOLLLL "are u a boy or a girl?" Definitely the right call to omit the answer haha just be a mysterious benevolent Youtuber!
